The London Dyslexia Initiative

Empowering children to acquire effective literacy skills is at the heart of what we do.

Through our outreach programme, the London Dyslexia Initiative, we work in partnership with five local state primary schools providing vital support for children who are struggling with their literacy and confidence.

We teach children with dyslexia at our Centre in Kensington and several local primary schools.

Kensington & Chelsea partner schools

Hammersmith & Fulham partner schools

• Addison Primary
• Brackenbury Primary

Our team of dedicated specialist teachers attend the school once a week, providing bespoke, targetted literacy intervention to thirty-two children, in one-to-one lessons. Our work in these schools has been so successful that each school now contributes towards the costs from their special educational needs budget.

We use our charitable funds to sustain this vital work and we receive no core funding from central or local government.  Therefore, we rely on donations and fund-raising events.
